Founder. Baker. Dog mom.
Sharnay Morrison is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in the city of Portsmouth VA; a small, underserved urban community, rich in black culture, entrepreneurship, self-expression, fine art, music, cuisine, talent and historical importance to the development and sustainability of the U.S. As a woman of Rastafarian culture, her lifestyle is deeply rooted in holistic health practices and beliefs. She is a passionate advocate of wildlife preservation, vegetation propagation, conscious living and diet moderation.
Her love of animals, nature and wild life began at a very young age. As a child, accompanied by her mother and older brother, she would often explore hidden oasis, trailed nature parks, food shops, and libraries. Her mother nurtured and inspired her passion for nature; always laughing, the fun, playful, loving type of mother. She never said no to the notion of opening their home to aid orphaned animals, lost pets or potted nursery plants in need of a windowsill. Amongst family and close friends, their home was affectionately referred to as a ‘mini petting zoo’; almost every childhood pet ‘must have’ came with a companion alike; birds, fish, kittens, cats, bunnies, hamsters, and Sharnay’s personal favorite, energetic puppies and big loving dogs.
True to her childhood passions, Sharnay now leads a happy and peaceful life on the eastern shore with her canine accomplice, Kendrick, a six pound Yorkipoo adopted on July 29th, 2018. She is a literature minor. For nine years she has diligently studied and served in the field of health sciences with her main focus being Cardiology.
